Love Story 2050 is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language science fiction-romance film starring producer Pammi Baweja and director Harry Baweja's son Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra. Some parts were filmed in Adelaide, Australia. Initially the film was supposed to release on 21 December 2007 but got postponed to 4 July 2008 due to extensive post-production work. The premiere was held on 2 July 2008 in London.[5][6][7] The film draws a lot of similarity to the 1991 Telugu film Aditya 369; while the Telugu film dealt with travel to the past as well as dystopian post-apocalyptic future, Love Story 2050 was exclusively about travelling to a utopian future-city of Mumbai in the year 2050. It is the first utopian time travel film of Bollywood.[8] The movie was released on 4 July 2008 and was a commercial and critical failure, with praise for its special effects, but criticism for its direction, screenplay and Harman Baweja's performance.
Karan Malhotra is a spirited and happy-go-lucky boy who does not follow the rules. Sana is the opposite of Karan: a sweet and shy girl who lives life by the rules. Even though they are completely opposite, they fall in love, leading to a magical love story.[9]

A scientist, Dr. Yatinder Khanna, has dedicated 15 years of his life in building a time machine. Sana expresses a wish to time-travel to Mumbai in the year 2050, but she is killed in an accident before her marriage to Karan. Karan wishes to travel back in time and find Sana. Dr. Yatinder, Karan, and Sana's siblings, Rahul and Thea, travel forward in time and reach Mumbai in 2050. They are fascinated by the futuristic Mumbai, with its flying cars, holograms, robots, 200-story buildings and more.
Twists and turns lead to the introduction of Ziesha, the reincarnation of Sana. Ziesha is a popular singer in 2050 who does not remember her past life, but gets flashbacks of it after meeting Karan. Unlike Sana, Ziesha is an arrogant, headstrong and rebellious girl who does not believe in love. She leads a lonely life after the death of her parents, which has embittered her.
Harry Baweja has plans to release the movie on DVD and has sold the DVD rights for a huge price.[citation needed] The DVD pack will include videos on the making of Love Story 2050 and its special effects.[citation needed]

jkaloor: hey pls,u shd also start respecting hindi movie wallahs,all are not copy cats,abbas is a talented guy,the wrier of maqbool,main ho na,salam namaste and many more original moves ,he doesnt need to copy from others,though i am from punjab,i watch movies from all languages without any bias and appreciate them but i have seen this tendency among certain section of ppl who always claim that hindi movies are rip off from one or the other south indian movies,
For example, a scene in Love Story 2050 with Harman Baweja hanging off the front of a rollercoaster, asking out Priyanka Chopra on a date is reminiscent of a scene in The Notebook. Kismat Konnection is a version of Just My Luck and pretty much anything Priyadarshan does in Hindi is a remake of a Malayalam movie, Bhool Bhulaiya being the most recent one.

"However, there is a lack of good content," added Agrawal. In 2008, Ultra will invest in six Marathi movies, three Gujarati movies and one movies in Hindi. In 2009, the company plans to increase the number to 12-15 movies in Marathi , 5-6 movies in Gujarati and 2 Hindi movies. The company will also enter the Rajasthani movie market in 2009. Among regional languages, movies in Bhojpuri have even witnessed rapid growth. "But the return on investment in Bhojpuri is very low," said Agrawal. Besides this, the company is also entering the film-merchandising business and is in discussion with Yashraj Studios for their forthcoming venture with Disney. The company is in discussion with various international media houses for merchandising rights. Ultra also makes movie-toys at a production unit in Dadar. The company has made toys for movies including Koi Mil Gaya, and Love Story 2050. The company also plans to enter into distribution of regional language cinema.
